Agricultural Labour Pension

The Agricultural Labour Pension is a social security pension scheme provided by the Government to workers engaged in agricultural activities. The objective of the scheme is to provide basic financial assistance to agricultural workers who are unable to continue working due to old age.

Under the scheme, beneficiaries receive ₹2,000 per month. Applications for the benefit of the scheme shall be submitted online through the website: https://welfarepension.lsgkerala.gov.in

Eligibility Criteria for Agricultural Labour Pension

1. The annual family income of the applicant shall not exceed ₹1 lakh.
2. The applicant must be 60 years of age or above.
3. The applicant shall not be a service pensioner or a person receiving family pension. This condition is not applicable to those receiving Ex-gratia/NPS pension up to ₹4,000.
4. The applicant must have been a permanent resident of Kerala for 10 years.
5. The applicant shall not be an income tax payer.
6. The applicant must have worked as an agricultural labourer under a landowner for 10 years or more.
7. The applicant or the applicant's family shall not own more than 2 acres of land. This condition is not applicable to applicants belonging to the Scheduled Tribe category.
8. The applicant must be a member of the Agricultural Workers Welfare Fund.
9. The applicant shall not own or have in the family a non-taxi vehicle with an engine capacity of more than 1000 CC and having four or more wheels, except an Ambassador car.
10. The applicant shall not be a plantation worker.
11. The applicant shall not be a person receiving salary, pension or family pension from the Central Government or another State Government.
12. The applicant must be destitute.
13. The applicant shall not be a retired employee of a Central/State Public Sector Undertaking receiving pension/family pension under the scheme of that institution.
14. Persons receiving other social security pensions are not eligible. This condition is not applicable to persons with disabilities. Including EPF, a person is eligible for a maximum of two pensions only.
15. The applicant shall not receive social security pension from another local government.
16. The application shall be submitted to the Local Self Government Institution where the applicant is permanently residing.
17. The applicant shall not own or reside in a concrete building having a floor area of more than 2,000 sq. ft. and modern flooring.
18. The applicant shall not be a beggar.
19. The applicant shall not be an inmate of a destitute home.

1. Release certificate from the Agricultural Workers Welfare Fund Board.
2. Certificate proving age.

Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension

The Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS) is a social security pension scheme implemented by the Government of India. It is part of the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) under the Ministry of Rural Development. The objective of the scheme is to provide monthly financial assistance to economically disadvantaged elderly persons.

Eligibility Criteria for Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension

3. The applicant shall not be a service pensioner or a person receiving family pension. This condition is not applicable to those receiving Ex-gratia/NPS pension up to ₹4,000.
4. The applicant must be unmarried.
5. The applicant shall not be an income tax payer.
6. Persons who have applied for other social security pensions are not eligible. This condition is not applicable to persons with disabilities. Including EPF, a person is eligible for a maximum of two pensions only.

1. Death certificate of the husband / certificate stating that the husband has been missing for 7 years / certificate stating that the husband has abandoned the applicant (applicable only to persons who have completed 50 years of age).
2. Certificate proving permanent residence in Kerala for at least 2 years at the time of application.
3. Income certificate.
4. Copy of Aadhaar Card.
